| screen is exactly 255 characters, PuTTY fails to double up the 0xFF
| byte in the subnegotiation, as required by RFC1073.

SGT, 2003-01-02: Should now be fixed. And I disagree that Linux
telnet servers aren't fazed by it - the Debian 3.0 machine on my
desk certainly doesn't like it much!
